Assessing Consumer Preferences and Willingness to Pay for Agricultural Landscape Attributes in Lithuania

Agricultural activities play an important role in shaping landscape, particular, Lithuania, where agricultural land accounts for more than half of the surface land. These landscape services are used by people as public goods, contributing to societal welfare. The aim this study is assess value identifying consumer preferences and willingness pay attributes using choice experiment (CE) method. article analyses condition which depends directly on farming systems practices applied. Four were selected research: (i) scenic views; (ii) variety flora fauna species, (iii) recreational infrastructure services, (iv) objects cultural heritage. latent class approach (LCA) was analysis heterogenous among Lithuanian residents. findings provided quantitative information related demand a particular interest heritage, relation particularly high. It necessary understand analyse with purpose improvement policy measures order change farmers’ performance towards sustainability. case offers new empirical arguments agri-environmental development.
